Maestro Application Delivery Platforms
The Maestro Platform is the specialized hardware that supports the AppBeat solutions. It is the only industry solution to implement Layer 2-7 functionality in dedicated hardware, for a significant performance advantage over other application delivery appliances. Crescendo Networks offers a range of Maestro platform models to meet every performance requirement — from 250 Mbps to 10 Gbps — so every business can optimize its web application performance and infrastructure.

A "Best of" architecture

The Maestro platform combines dedicated hardware engines using parallel RISC processors with a soft-core design. This design enables Crescendo Networks to easily integrate and deliver new features quickly in response to customer requirements.

Each AppBeat function runs on a separate, purpose-built engine with dedicated CPU and memory resources. As a result, the Maestro platform can deliver multiple features simultaneously, without the performance slow-down and resource contention suffered by solutions using shared architectures.

This unique architecture gives the Maestro platform competitive advantages:
  • Dedicated processors and memory for different tasks enable true feature concurrency without slowdown
  • Hardware-based compression operates at multi-gigabit scale with zero latency
  • Industry's first hardware-based rules engine offers comprehensive traffic control with real-time payload modification at unprecedented speeds
  • Soft-core design integrates new features via software updates instead of component replacement
  • Multi-gigabit scalability: up to 10 Gbps non-blocking throughput with all functions operating
  • For strategic partners and OEMs that want to leverage these capabilities in their own solutions, Crescendo Networks offers the powerful Maestro Platform in an easy-to-integrate blade form factor.

The Maestro CN-7000 is the latest generation of the powerful and purpose-built Maestro hardware, built for demanding Web properties and public or private Cloud Computing providers.
